Fayetteville Soccer Club's Little Kicker Soccer Program is designed specifically for our youngest players (3 and 4 year olds). The philosophy
of our program can be summed up in one word - FUN!
The Little Kicker program introduces new players and parents to the wonderful game of soccer. We have created a safe and positive environment where kids can learn the game
of soccer through playful training techniques and team bonding activities.
Under the direction of our coaching staff, we
have designed a program that encompasses the use of "small-sided play" and
age-appropriate training. The combination of these methods will be the
foundation to good habits with the ball. Our goal is to provide a
non-threatening fun environment where very young players can begin to be
comfortable running with a ball; comfortable with some ‘team’ games using a
soccer ball, and have fun, building an early interest in playing
soccer. A new topic will be introduced each week. These topics cover the basics of kicking, dribbling, passing and shooting. Body movement, body awareness, balance, and mobility are encouraged as well as activities that have a ball at every player's feet. The first part of the session is spent on activities and instruction. The last part of the session is spent on six minute games. All players will participate in these games. The games will be 3v3 and there will be no player substitutions.
All Little Kickers sessions are held on Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons and are 1 hour. All Little Kicker's will receive a schedule a week before the session begins. All sessions are held at Jordan Soccer Complex. All sessions are led by a licensed coach from the FSC staff and assisted by members of our select teams.
All Little Kicker’s will receive a FSC Little Kicker t-shirt at the first session. Little Kicker's must wear the t-shirt, soccer socks, and soccer
cleats or soft sole tennis shoes to each session. All players will receive a #3 ball at the first session and each player should bring the ball to each session. Little Kicker's should also bring a water bottle to each session.
Program fees include professional training for the eight week session, a size #3 ball and a t-shirt. Cost is $75. We offer the Little Kicker program in the fall and spring and it coincides with the youth recreation seasons.
